Bio-ethanol is a renewable energy source made from the fermentation of sugars or starches derived from sugar beets, beetroot, and any sugar or starch that alcoholic beverages can be made from. Ethanol is used to fuel bio-ethanol fireplaces. As they do not require a chimney and are flue less, bio-ethanol fireplaces are often a “green” alternative in new home building and and fantastic option in apartments without a flue.
